Ethics and Integrity

SIIL’s ethics are governed by our Code of Conduct and Human Resources policies, which offer a comprehensive set of rules and regulations addressing matters of integrity, corruption and set out the highest standards of professional conduct for all employees.

These include the prohibition of conflicts of interest, accepting bribes or gifts, the prohibition of the unauthorised use and preservation of Company assets and the prohibition of all practices deemed illegal in Qatar.

The Company also prohibits the Chairman and the members of its Board of Directors, its Executive Directors and all its employees from taking advantage of any information they may have come to know as a result of dealing in shares of the Company, for their own interest or the interest of their immediate relatives.

Corporate Social Responsibility Strategy

The SIIL Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) strategy is based on the Qatar National Vision 2030, especially the Economic Pillar, which aims to “transform Qatar into an advanced society capable of achieving sustainable development”.

Our CSR strategy is also rooted in our vision to become one of the most successful public companies in Qatar, as well as a leading example for all family businesses in the region.

SIIL aims to develop the considerable human capital within the communities in which it operates and to contribute to their ongoing development. The CSR programme at SIIL includes a total commitment to quality within its business activities and ensures we operate as efficiently as possible – and that the surrounding environment is taken into account when planning new projects, so that it may be preserved for future generations.

We strive to contribute to the development of people – both our employees and members of the community – through the acquisition of new skills, scholarships and the promotion of an information-rich economy. SIIL also provides structured programmes across the realms of education, community and sport.
